Born in Venezuela, Raquel Zapata started her ballet training at the age of 6, when her mom sign her up at dance classes at school. She studied at the school of Ballet Teatro de la Opera in Maracay, where she studied under the direction of Silvia Villegas.
At the age of 16 she is selected to join the lines of the company of ballet Maradanza playing figure rolls in the classical ballets Giselle, Paquita, , La Sylphide, Swan Lake and in ballets of neoclassic cut choreographed by Monica Marin And Mariam Barreto at the same time, she started teaching in various schools of Ballet
In 2010 she start her own school of Dance work on her detailed technique with children interesting in a path in the wonderful career of a dancer.
She has a great reputation as Ballet Teacher, with 16 years of experience teaching children and adults.
